April 27, 2007 Spanish entrepreneurs strut their stuff at IMAN
Santiago Iñiguez, Dean and Professor of Strategy Last Wednesday, 25th April, at IMAN 2007, (Palacio Municipal de Congresos de Madrid, near IFEMA) there were two plenary sessions devoted to Spanish entrepreneurs. The first session was called "Comercio Electronico, Esta Vez los Exitos" and the second "Encuentro con Emprendedores".
a) Antevenio. A Spanish PYME dealing with Internet publicity, spoke of how they launched themselves on Alternext, which opened for business on 17 May 2005. This new market was created by Euronext to meet the needs of small and midsized companies seeking simplified access to the stock. Their stock price. b) Panoramio. Mashups of Google Maps/Earth with photos of a community, linked to by Google. They have had 5.3 million unique visitors. c) Atrapalo. An online tourist agency and promotor of leisure activities. d) eConozco. A leading Spanish professional social networkthat was bought by Xing last month e) DVDgo. A leading DVD-selling company on the Internet in Spain since 1999 and is focused only on DVD sales, and whose catalogue is one of the largest available in Spain and one of the most complete in Europe. (2) "Encuentro con Emprendedores". • Aquamobile. Water marks for images that can be read by mobile phones.(winner of IE Business School´s Proyecto Neti.) They were present at 3GSM.
